Mountain View Cycling

Mountain View is not far from Cupertino. Just like Cupertino is home of Apple, Mountain View is home of Google. International visitors come to Cupertino to visit the Apple store next to their HQ, there is Google Store too! Anyway, Cupertino is an established area, Mountain View has much more wide opened space, and Shoreline Park is definitely one could not missed. Before Cupertino City completes its project of connecting the bike routes together, we just have to put our bikes in the Highlander for our ride there.

We usually get in from the N Shoreline Blvd (far right on the map). After the guard house, there are multiple spots where you can park. First is the Kite Flying Area, then close to Rengstorff House there are plenty of space.
The bike paths some are paved, some unpaved. Shared with the pedestrians, there is no car access, that's great. No pets, another plus. As you can see from the map, one side is land, the other side is the San Franscisco Bay. Here is very shallow, pretty much slough everywhere (above and below).

As you can see there is no shadow at all. We came early around 9AM. Temp in the teens even in July. It will heat up around noon, then cool down again at night. So make sure you wear properly and cover up if you would stay under the sun for a while.

The far left on the map is Palo Alto. There are Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve Trail and South Adobe Creek Loop Trailhead. Definitely places we can come next time.
