Stevens Creek Reservoir |
According to Komoot, there are a dozen cycling routes in Cupertino worth exploring. You can find the info online. Today, let's start from the Stevens Creek Reservoir (marked x on the map below) before going anywhere further.

Before you reach the reservoir, you will see Stevens Creek County Park first. There are many trails there. Not sure if the trails can do gravel. I'm not ready for gravel either.

There are several stops on the reservoir. I thinks I will come back and explore more later.

Here is another ride. Avoid Stevens Creek Blvd, and take McClellan Rd instead. You can see the picture below showing the bike lane is separated from the road.

After the Cupertino County Park is Stevens Creek Quarry. There are debates on and off about if they should shut down the quarry. Today, it is still operational. Many big trucks going in and out.
On the other side is the reservoir.
After the quarry is Montebello Rd. This road leads to several vineyards and wineies. The road is steep. Saw a cyclist went up easily. I would try some other time:0
